Kelly's Korner Blog is doing "Show us your Christmas Tree!" this week, so I thought this would be a good time to show you some of Christmas decorations inside my house. I still haven't taken pictures of everything but this is most of it.
I just want to stop December and let it last longer because it always seems it goes by too fast for me and then it's over..On Christmas Day, I always have a bittersweet feeling because we can't wait until Christmas but when it's here, I'm sad because it's here...
First off, this is a table in our small dining room. I love the plates on the bottom. I got them at Walmart and thought they were so cute!
This is my dining room table. I'm not completely satisfied with it. I have the hardest time with my table. Any ideas? There is definitely too much red going on. I'm looking for a different table cloth/or runner.
Top of my frig..just a bit of Christmas cheer up there..
Kitchen window - snowmen collection
Our Tree - I use red and green throughout my house, except for Lily's room. She has a white tree with bright colored ornaments. (I will add a pic soon)
Fireplace mantel (Sorry for the dark pic, It's hard to capture lights in their true glory.)
Entrance to the dining room/kitchen
My carport door - (Sorry it's sideways)
That's a good bit of our inside decorations. It's a lot of work, but I love doing it.
I also want to give a "shout-out" to Jamie - who is in the process of creating a blog design company and she is offering "free templates" for a couple of days so be watching for my new blog design. You can visit her site by clicking the button below. Great blog designs!

Lily's 50's Elvis Birthday Party

Here is some of the decorations and Lily's cake. The lady that made her first bday cake made this one and it turned out perfect. Very yummy too!

Here is Lily with her cousins, Erin and Jayla before the party.

Lily posing with her cake.

Closeup of the cake

We had a hula hoop contest and the kids were so funny! Lily loved it!

BJ and I in our 50's attire

We had a very special guest at the party - Elvis himself dropped by! I found his outfit at a local discount store (Dirt Cheap) for $7!!

Our family pic with Elvis

Elvis and his favorite little girl. Elvis was a hit and everyone thought he was so funny. We had a fun time watching him dance and entertain everyone.

Excited over her iron crowns that she got from Aunt Sue and Uncle Jackie. She thought they went on her head.

Posing with some of her friends

Some of her best friends - Lily, Jancie, Aimree, and Allie Jewel

Everyone posed behind this car stand-up that my handy dad built.

It was a great party. Everything turned out perfect and it was a beautiful day.

Now back to enjoying a week devoted to spending time with my family and just catching up on some things around the house.

Our Little Mermaid - Halloween 2009
So far, we have had a great week celebrating Halloween 2009. We definitely have been busy but it's been worth every minute.
Here is Lily below wishing everyone a safe and Happy Halloween. She completely chose her costume this year on her own. From the beginning, she has told me she wanted to be "mermaid" so we made a special trip to the Disney store where she had her selection of whatever character she wanted to be. I convinced her to try on Minnie Mouse but she wouldn't hear of it. She wanted to be mermaid and as you can see, a mermaid she is...
She looks so grown up in her costume. It makes me sad that we are getting ready for her 3rd birthday party in 2 weeks - it's going to be a great one. I can't wait to share pics from this week and more party details soon!

Friends
Lily's sweet friend from daycare, Aimree just celebrated her 3rd birthday. She had a Strawberry Shortcake party, and it was so cute. Lily had the best time!
Lily and Aimree have been to daycare with each other since they were around 3 months old so they have grown up together.
Even though the weather was cool, Lily had the best time with Aimree. She's still talking about going to Aimree's party.

I love this pic!

About to cut into the cake. They kept sneaking icing off the cake.

I just loved this pic. I am going to get it framed for Lily's room.

Meow!
Lily is now the proud owner of two new baby kittens. They are both precious and constantly tormented by a sweet almost three year old little girl. She loves them to death though. She is such a good little mommy to them.
We got them from BJ's uncle - Lily's great Uncle and Lily's request was to get a pink kitten and a purple kitten. He didn't exactly have those colors, but these worked out fine.
After going through all kinds of names, including "pink" and "purple" Right now, their names seem to be "Tootsie" and "Reesie" after Lily's two favorite chocolate candies.
Warning! Their names are prone to change at any time, lol..

Tootsie up close.

Reesie again!

Tootsie

I am so careful so far with these kittens because Lily is in love and I don't want to have to tell her that another pet has gone to heaven. We are going to try our best to keep Tootsie and Reesie far far from the road.

Finally - Fall!
I am finally getting around to posting my fall post. This fall has been incredibly busy for us, and it seems to already be slipping by much too fast.
I have lots of fun decorating around my house for fall. I also love taking Lily to a nearby pumpkin patch and just basically doing everything fall we can find.

Lily and I on the train. It was made of barrels and pulled by a 4-wheeler that was made to look like a train, lol...

lily and her poppy on the hay ride to the pumpkin patch

In the pumpkin patch, searching for the perfect pumpkin. It was such a beautiful day in the 60's. We enjoyed it so much.

Lily has started just posing for me. She will just sit down and be ready for pics..So funny, I guess I have done this to her after taking so many pics of her.

Another pose.

I think this was her favorite spot at the Pumpkin patch - the corn box. Tons of loose corn for the kids to play in. She loved it.

Here is the Fall wreath on my front door. It's nothing fancy but I thought it turned ok pretty good.

Fall display in our front yard (as I am looking at this pic, i have noticed that several of my items are looking misplaced. I think the weather has gotten ahold of my display. The display has been up for over 3 weeks so I guess that explains it.)

We finally finished our fountain and flower bed on the end of our house. I thought it turned out nice.

I have these flower beds on each side of our driveway. Each one has a small display in it.

That's it for my fall decorations! Not anything fancy, but I have lots of fun with it!

Cousin-ly Love!
They had the best time! Here are some pics.
(I haven't forgotten my fall post, but I've been raining for it to stop raining here before I take pics of my yard and the fall decor, so maybe soon. We are supposed to be getting a cold front this weekend, and I'm loving it.)
I love this one.
Playing in the sandbox.

"Her Mexico Dress "
We got Lily a dress in Cozumel. I shopped around and got a great deal on it. I thought it was so pretty and being from Mexico with a story made it a special dress.
I ended up only paying $10 for it and Lily wore it to church last Sunday. She told everyone it was "her Mexico dress."
After church, she surprised me and let me take a few pics of her right before we talked in the door, so we got these pics on our carport. I only snapped for probably less than 3 minutes, but we got some great pics and it seems my little girl loves to pose lately, which I'm loving! Hope you enjoy!
(Side note: I'm so excited about fall. I have fair pics and some fall decoration pics that I will be posting very soon.)

Bon Voyage! Our Cruise to Mexico!
I apologize for not posting in several days, but last week, we were well, out of the country.
We had been counting down all year for our cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and it finally got here! We had a great time!
It was 5 days/4 nights. We were anxious about how Lily would do but she thought we were basically in a hotel the whole time because once we got on the ship, she asked me, "Mommy, where is the boat?"
I wanted to give a summary of our trip day by day though for your personal enjoyment as well as a way to capture our memories..since my memory is so short anyways.
We left on Thursday morning from our house headed to Mobile. It's not a bad drive, so we were able to have some free time before loading the ship. Getting checked in and embarking the ship was actually very quick. We arrived at noon and were on the ship eating lunch by 12:45 pm. We had buffet lunch on the lido deck (10) and then ventured to our rooms. BJ's mom, grandpa (his mom's dad), BJ's oldest sister, Michelle, and her daughter , Amber all went with us. BJ's aunt and cousin were supposed to go as well but his cousin got sick with a fever and was not able to go so we were sad they couldn't go.
Here is a pic of BJ and Lily looking at the view of downtown Mobile from the ship.
Our rooms were very clean and nice. They were small but we expected small. We went on a short tour of the ship at 2:30 then explored around the ship for a while. We did Game Show trivia and watched a Dance Class before getting ready for Dinner in the Seven Seas Dining Room.
BEfore dinner, we did have our Muster Drill, with the life jackets and all of that fun stuff. Lily did not like wearing those jackets and we were glad when it was over because it was hot.
We dressed up each night for dinner which was at 6 pm. We all sat together and we were excited to have a window table, so we got to see the sunset from our window almost every night. The food was pretty good. It definitely wasn't southern food and there was no sweet tea, but we enjoyed trying new things and adding lots of splenda to our tea. BJ finally gave up and drank water at dinner, lol..poor thing. His staple drink is sweet tea. Our waitor's name was Jesus. Not actually pronounced Jesus, but 'Hay-zeus" I thought it was funny though when I saw his name tag and there was Jesus watching over us every night.
Here is Lily posing by our window at dinner.
and here she is eating.
After dinner that night, Lily and Amber went swimming and enjoyed the "hot water" in the hot tub.
One of Lily's favorite things about the food was 24 hour ice cream. Every time we walked past the ice cream machine, we had to stop for her some. She ate so much chocolate ice cream! She was loving every minute of it. Me, on the other hand, I didn't love scrubbing ice cream stains out of her clothes, haha..
Each night when we returned from dinner, there was a towel animal in our room on the bed. The first night was a stingray. Lily loved the upper bunk beds in our room. She played on it as her special space.
On Day 2, we spent this entire Day at Sea. The views were beautiful and the water was so blue! We got up and ate breakfast (Which was buffet and was the best meal to me.) I love breakfast food - bacon, sausage, hash browns, eggs, pancakes, etc..so I was in heaven. There was also a wide selection of fruits, muffins, etc..Breakfast was wonderful! As was the Orange Guava Passion juice, we loved that stuff and drank it with breakfast every morning.
This is Lily sitting in the window in BJ's mom and grandpa's room.
After breakfast, we went to the very top of the ship and guess what was up there! A putt-putt golf course. Lily had never played it so she had a fun time. She was so funny trying to hit the ball with her club. When her ball didn't go in the hole, she would run over and pick it up and throw it in the hole.
The view from up there was spectular and by this time, the water was a deep royal blue, very pretty.
Next, we went to the pool on the main Lido deck. It was a nice pool and the water was cool and very refreshing. We enjoyed some time on the big slide. Amber even convinced me to go down it once. I have to admit it was fun. We couldn't convince Lily to do it.
After swimming, it was time for lunch. Lunch buffet was ok, but it was lots of wild things that this Southern girl usually doesn't go for. It wasn't bad though just very different. Every day it had a theme, like Caribbean, Mediterranean, and on the last day was American! hahaha.
Here is a pic of BJ at the back of the ship. Look at the path our boat was leaving.
After lunch and exploring around the ship, BJ and Lily took a nap and Michelle and I watched the ice carving event on the Lido deck. It was amazing how that guy carved an Indian Chief head in the ice and it only took about 20-25 minutes. It was very pretty and amazing.
Nap time was over, and we watched a Marriage game kind of like the Newlywed game, then we got ready for Formal Night - the Captain's Dinner. We attempted to get family pics, but Lily refused to cooperate. This was one time she wasn't taking pics. The cruise staff take tons of pics throughout the cruise. You can take as many as you like and buy the ones you want. We did manage to get a good one of me and BJ and one of all of us that was good.
Here is BJ on the back of the ship again posing before the Captain's dinner.
and Michelle and Amber
This is the pic that BJ and I bought of ourselves. We thought it turned out good and we never make professional pics of just the two of us since we've had Lily.
Here is our whole group on Formal night.
At supper this night, it was nice. BJ and I had Prime Rib and some of the others had Lobster. The waitors sang "That's Amore" for us. We didn't stay for dessert this night. Lily was very tired and we ended up to the 50's and 60's music show that night. We didn't make it through the whole show, but what we saw was really impressive. We ended up going back to the room early as we were all worn out. Night 2's animal was an elephant.
Day 3 (Saturday) was our day in Cozumel. We all got up early to get off the ship at 8 am. We had breakfast, BJ captured some sunrise pics, and we ended up getting off of the ship at 7:30 am.
Waiting to get off the ship
Our ship as we got off.
Cozumel was really pretty. The water was breathtaking and the area we seen was really clean. As soon we got off the ship, we did a lot of shopping right off of the pier. We got tons of souveniers. Lily wanted everything and we had a hard time controlling us and ourselves at buying her whatever she wanted. She ended up leaving Cozumel with a doll, bracelet, purse, necklace, dress, guitar, maraca, t-shirt and probably something else. Everything was priced pretty cheap so I enjoyed shopping and especially trying to talk down the prices with the locals. We then caught a taxi to "Downtown Cozumel" for only 7 dollars for all 5 of us. We rode in a minivan with over 490,000 miles and no ac, but we made it safely and enjoyed the sights downtown. To us, the shopping was not as good as the pier, but the view was beautiful. BJ bought a huge seashell from a guy off the sidewalk that spoke no English and it was definitely fresh.
Pics from shopping

In Downtown...

One of my favorite pics
After leaving downtown, we took another taxi to Paradise Beach. This taxi was a huge van and we rode for $15 to the beach. This one actually had an ac, too. Paradise Beach was a private beach that was free as long as you spent over $10 in food/drink while you were there. It had nice clean changing rooms and bathrooms and we enjoyed our time there. BJ and Amber paid an additional $10 to play on the climbing wall and other water toys. Lily loved, loved, loved the beach. She would go into the water with no fear. There were only small tiny waves so she loved it. The sand was very different though. Nothing like Gulf Shores. It was grainy and almost like ground up sea shells. I'm curious if it wasn't man-made sand or something, which is very possible.

We ate lunch in the restaurant there and When we sat down, Lily said, "mommy, i want cornbread." After explaining to her, there was no cornbread on the menu, she says, "mommy, i want butterbeans." We finally got her to decide on the chicken fingers and fries, which I really enjoyed. Amber had quesadillos and BJ and Michelle a Volcano nacho - huge dish that they really enjoyed but it was definitely spicy.
Here is BJ explain to Lily about them not having her food requests.
After lunch, we spent some more time on the beach before leaving. This time, when we got ready to taxi back to the pier, we ended up in a small Ford Festiva. It was the tiniest car ever and we were packed in there. BJ was up front and me, Lily, Michelle, and Amber were in the back. We paid $13 for this ride, and it definitely was one we won't ever forget.
We did a bit more shopping at the pier before it started to a light rain shower. We walked back to the ship in the rain and got back onboard around 3:30 pm.
I have no complaints about Mexico. I thought it was nice, but none of us drank the water. We definitely didn't want a Sex in the City moment (if you watched the movie.)
Back onboard, we spent some time exploring around before our ship left Mexico at 4:55 pm.
Here is Lily with her ice cream.
We got ready for dinner on night 3 and we took more pics and this time Lily was in a much better mood and we got lots of her smiling and a good family picture.
At dinner..

We had fun at dinner this night and ended up dancing with all of our waiters. The sunset this night leaving Mexico was so pretty!
BJ didn't feel well this night but Lily did enjoy some time in the hot tub again and then we watched some karoake. We didn't stay awake for the midnight Mexican buffet but Michelle and Amber did and they said it was nice and some sights to be seen. We were just so tired each day, but we did sleep good. The beds were so comfy. Night 3's animals was a frog. It was so cute.
Day 4 was another full day at sea as we sailed home. We took it easy on this day. We had breakfast, then went to a towel folding class where we learning to make all of those fun animals. They taught us to make a puppy and an elephant. I just hope I can remember how we done it. Lily enjoyed that. We listened to the Disembarkation talk, and then after a trip back to the pool, the kiddie pool, and the hot tub, we had lunch, then enjoyed a very nice family nap.
At the towel folding class.
After nap, we took Lily to a Build a Bear Workshop and she built a Sailor Girl Pig. She loved this and was so happy to have an (expensive) pig, haha.
It even came with its own box and passport for the trip home.
My ice cream swan
We then got dressed up for our final supper. It was an odd menu this night. BJ thought he would be brave and try salmon and then veal parmigiana for main course. I am not sure he liked either one very much, especially considering the salmon was not cooked. He did try though. I guess you can tell we don't eat sushi.
That night we got final pics with our waiters, and all of the waiters sang "Leaving on a Fun Ship" It was cute and they did a great job.
That night, we got a puppy animal in our room.
Then we went to the Country show. We didn't stay the whole time because by then, it was after 10, and Lily was worn out.
We packed up our luggage and sat our bags out that night when we got to the room. Lily cried because she didn't want them taking our luggage, haha, poor baby was so very tired.
That night, we were sad. We had a fun trip and didn't want it to end. We all thought we could have lived on that ship for a while. I mean, food basically of all of the time, someone cleans your room, and takes care of you, you can't beat it.
I do want to mention that the staff of the ship were wonderful. They were very, very nice and we don't have a single complaint about any of them. I wanted to bring some of them home with me because they were so sweet. Everyone always remembered lily's name and spoke to her, and most of them would greet her with "Hello Princess!" if they didn't know her name. I just loved how good they were to us and they made us feel like royalty.
On Day 5, we got up early and got ready to leave. Our ship arrived in Mobile before 8 am and we waiting on our turn to disembark. We were called around 930 am and were in our car by 10:15 or so. It definitely didn't take very long at all.
All in all, we enjoyed our trip. We were glad to spend time with family and to get away for a while.
We did head straight to Cracker Barrel, for some good southern cooking, for lunch, then a quick trip to the mall, and we got home around 3:30 pm Monday afternoon.
Here are some other special highlights of our trip I don't want to forget:
- Those tiny elevators and packing 8 people in there
- Spending time with Lily in the gameroom - it was so dark in there, but it was the coldest room on the ship and she loved playing in there.
- Room U170 on the Upper Floor 6
- Waiting on the shows, and watching Lily dance and play with the spinning chairs
Hope you enjoyed reading about our trip as much as we enjoyed it! I have over 800 pics so i will be sorting through those for quite a while.

Not Me! Monday
Finally got my new blog design finished! It took me much longer than expected. Now, it's that time again and I thought I would take a stab at all of the things that I would never do. Not Me! Monday is courtesy of MckMama Are you feeling guilty for eating all the M&M's that you said you bought for the kids? Hope that no one saw when you wiped your child's nose on their own shirt? Not Me! Monday was born out of MckMama's desire to admit some of her imperfections and reveal a few moments she'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!
This past weekend, Lily and I went on a girl's shopping trip. Nothing big, but she was so excited to have a girls morning out. We went to our local Dirt Cheap (store that sells salvage merchandise- lots of cheap, great finds) I would never let her wander around the store playing with everything and destroy half of the store while I myself was digging through everything looking for good deals! A good mommy always makes her stay in the buggy because Dirt Cheap is definitely not safe for her to wander around in.
After leaving Dirt Cheap, we headed to Wal-Mart. I would never let her eat Cheetos, two cheese & cracker packs, and part of a small container of cookies so that she would be quiet while I shopped and stay in the buggy, especially at lunchtime, I would never let her do this.
Finally, Saturday evening, I would never let Lily and her cousin Erin lock themselves in a kitten cage. and I would never let the thought cross my mind that this would keep them still for a while and out of trouble lol.. They only stayed in there probably no more than 30 seconds so it didn't last for long.

We did have fun on our girls shopping trip and we are working hard packing for our cruise this weekend. We are so excited and when we ask Lily how many days are left til our cruise, she says, "Too many!"
Have a great week!

Living in Color..
I'm back with lots of pics and hopefully a new layout to be added next week.
Lily has been keeping us entertained as always. She is such a mess. She has started taking dance (the first year it's been offered here in years) in our hometown with some of her very best friends so she is really liking spending time with them and mommy and daddy are enjoying not having a 45 minute drive to dance. She's been doing great.
I took these pics in a dance outfit she helped me to create. It definitely has an 80's look but that seems to be coming back these days. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
Isn't she the sweetest thing?
She loves to put her hands on her hips.
I like this one with the black and white effects. What do you think?
Lily doing her flips, lolHer new favorite thing - Rolling her eyes, she thinks its so funny. SHe says Amber taught her...oh Amber? lol
and finally doing her split, she learned this in dance/tumbling

It's Not the Flu!
I looked at my blog today and realized I haven't blogged in a week.
Wow! It's been busy. Work has been really, really hectic and Lily has been sick since Sunday. She had a fever during Sunday School and we left church and she was better on and off. She did tell me that she had a headache and then she started coughing and sneezing with a runny nose. Her fever would come and go but it got to 101 during the night on Monday.
On Monday though, I found out that two of the babies at Lily's daycare had the flu. This sent me into panic mode. Lily had a lot of the symptoms, so we went to the pediatrician yesterday morning and she tested negative for the flu. She just has a bad cold. She stayed with my mom on Monday and Tuesday and I am off work today at home with home and she has been asleep for almost 3 hours on a early nap so I'm hoping she is sleeping some of it off.
With all of this going on, my step-grandpa also passed away last night. My grandma, who passed away over 6 years ago, was married to him for my whole life. He was 84 and had been very sick with Parkinson's and several other serious things. He had been so sad since my grandma passed away and he didn't move a thing in their house. He was very dependent on her and they were close. We saw him often throughout the week because he would drive to town (10 minutes from his house) to eat lunch and we saw him quite a lot on our lunch breaks. Every time I would see him though, I had intense sadness for his loneliness. I hope that he and my grandma have reunited in Heaven. We weren't close as some grandparents but he has been a part of my life since I was born and we will definitely miss him.
After saying all of this, I guess you can see why I haven't posted. I also have beach pictures from an improptu beach trip to Gulf Shores last weekend that I honestly have uploaded but not even viewed. How sad!
I will try to post those pics very soon! Please pray for my family as we go through the upcoming funeral and pray for Lily to feel better!

Strike!
We took Lily on her first bowling trip this past Saturday. We went to a smaller, older bowling alley but it turned out good because it wasn't busy at all.
BJ's mom, and two sisters and their families came along with us, too. BJ's sister Amy only had one of her three kids so we rented Lily and Erin (5 months apart, Lily's younger) their own lane. The bowling alley gave them really light balls and they laughed and cheered and we all mostly enjoyed watching them.
Lily thought it was the greatest thing to watch that ball roll down the lane.
Here are pictures that prove our good time!
Lily and Erin picking out their balls.
Lily was giving Erin a pep talk. She talks to her like Erin is a baby, and actually Lily is younger.
High 5! Lily and her daddy excited about her bowling. She did a good job! They were watching Erin's bowl roll down the gutter.
Lily and her other cousin Amber celebrating! Of course, we did find time to pose.
BJ grabbing Lily from using someone else's lane.
At the end of the night, they were give out and hot. I guess maybe low budget bowling alleys don't run their ac as much as needed cause we were all pretty hot.It was too much fun!

My Baby in Blue
It's been a busy but full of not a whole lot of excitement kind of week.
I am looking forward to the weekend, hopefully to get caught up on some things and stay around the house and enjoy time with BJ and Lily.
Here are a few pics from last weekend. My mom and dad bought Lily this "Hee-Haw" dress in Pigeon Forge, TN at the Lid'l Dolly's store and BJ picks on me when I put Lily in it and says it such a country "Hee-haw" dress.
It did make for some cute pics though! Enjoy :)

Potty-Time
Guess who has perfected her potty-training skills and wears her big girl panties all of the time (well, except naps and night time)!!!!!!!
LILY!!!!!!!!
I have been so excited for the past couple of weeks. Lily finally decided she was ready to use the potty. We had been trying to potty train since before she turned two, but she was just too stubborn and not ready for it.
She finally made up her mind and there's been no going back. It was so much easier than I thought it would be, since I had basically given up.
It's so easy at home for her and no more diaper changes. We are definitely running in public though. She keeps me running to the potty on shopping trips, but I'm not complaining.
For anyone working on this process, I had to just wait until lily was ready. There was no forcing her to go. I am still amazed at everyone that gets their babies trained before they are two.
In other news, I celebrated my 27th birthday last Friday. It was a great day. I got so many emails and messages from friends wishing me a happy birthday and I also got lots of great gifts. A Fossil watch from my sweet co-workers, gift card from my parents, money from my in-laws, and a gift certificate for a pedicure from BJ and Lily. I have never had one and I think I will love it. I'm so excited about it and have a feeling that Bj is going to be in trouble when I want to go more often.
Here is a pic of me and Lily on the morning of my birthday.
Have a great week everyone!

It's just hard...
UPDATE:
My day yesterday was a rough one that i know all moms go through at some point. I have these days often lately, but last night, i was thinking and even though I have to work alot, I do want to say that I am very blessed to spend the moments that I have with Lily. She is very healthy and we could be in much worse circumstances, so while I can't exactly change the lemons right now, I must make lemonade! :)
First of all, if you are at a Stay-at-home mom, count your blessings.
Most of you know that I work full-time against my ultimate will, but financially, our family would not be able to have the things that we do if I did not work. It's just hard.
It's really never been an option for me not to work..even though I tried to come up with ways when LIly was small for me not to work. Nothing seemed to work out.
I am really blessed with good childcare for Lily.
Grant it, Lily has done pretty good in the past not crying when we leave her, but for the past couple of months, it's been rough. It's just hard.
This morning was no exception. As soon as we walked in to daycare, she started crying and really crying, hanging on to me and refusing to let go. Some days she pleads wanting to go with us.
It is the hardest thing for me to leave her crying and usually I won't, but today, she wouldn't stop so I did. I know that she always stops crying after we leave, but that doesn't help me a lot. It's just hard.
There is no solution. Prizes, rewards, nothing seems to work..She has been on this schedule since she was 10 weeks old, so why she still cries I'm not sure. However, she doesn't cry every day, but those bad days are the ones i remember the most. It's just so hard.
I am thinking of putting her in preschool earlier maybe next year when she's 3 almost 4 with the hopes that she will be excited about school and won't cry. Any suggestions?
When I am not working, unless it is necessary, I do not leave Lily and it's because I am away from her over 9 hours every week day. I am missing her life, the main part of it. It's just hard. People tell me I should leave her on the weekends but they don't see that I leave her plenty, more than plenty. If I didn't leave her every day, then I'm sure there would be times when we would be excited about leaving her. I know I am not the only working mom, but dang, this is just hard.
well, it's more than hard, I despise it..and the bad thing is there is nothing i can do to make it better.
Guess, it's just always going to be hard.
